We go live to the locker room of Shane Douglas.

"So did you finish your business earlier, Sandman? Good. Did you ever imagine the NWA title being defended at an ECW event? It's insane. You know what pisses me off? It's not the fact I have to defend the NWA title against Rhino days after winning it. No. It's the fact that I'm not the main event. Who even heard of an ECW show not headlined by the Franchise? Whoever made that decision can kiss my ass. I'll just have to steal the show like I always do. Don't think I forgot about you Rhino. Who the hell do you think you are?

You aren't even a member of NWA-TNA and you have the balls to challenge for the NWA title? Fuck you, Rhino. I accepted your challenge because I want you gone. I finish you tonight before you even start. Enjoy your little flirtation with ECW and the NWA title. It doesn't happen again. Let's go, Sandman."

Rhino charges to the ring. The crowd is amped to see Rhino back in an ECW ring. He asks for the mic.

"It's fuckinging good to be back. Shane Douglas seemed to be wondering why I challenged him. It goes like this. You were running your mouth about extreme. You even got Sandman and Mike Awesome to drink the Kool-Aide. But not Raven. He stayed strong. He kept fighting. I'm not friends with Raven but in a round-about way I am helping him by taking care of you. Tonight I take your pride and I take your belt. Get your ass out here."

Accompanied by the Sandman here comes the NWA champion, Shane Douglas. Where is Mike Awesome? Shane wants to take out Rhino here tonight so he doesn't enter NWA-TNA. Introductions are made. This is an ECW rules match. And it's time for the first defense on TNA's NWA title.

NWA World Heavyweight title Rhino vs. Shane Douglas (champion) (With Sandman)

Shane Douglas raises the belt in Rhino's face. Rhino floors Douglas with a right hand. He picks up the NWA title and raises it in the air to the delight of the crowd. He hands the belt to the ref. Rhino knocks Douglas down with a shoulder block. Rhino stomps on the head of Douglas. He picks Douglas up and planets him with a Samoan Drop. Rhino takes Douglas down with a snapmare and kicks him stiffly in the back. Rhino bounces off the ropes but Douglas catches him with a drop toe hold. Douglas quickly applies a headlock. Rhino pushes Douglas into the ropes. Douglas goes for the Gore. Douglas avoids the move by slipping to the outside. Rhino leaves the ring to follow. Rhino and Douglas exchange punches on the floor. Rhino tosses Douglas over the guardrail into the crowd. Rhino follows. Douglas grabs a chair from a fan and blasts Rhino across the back with it. A fan takes a shot at Douglas. Douglas decks the fan. Security arrives to remove the fan. Douglas and Rhino battle to the back of the arena. They are fighting below the technical booth. Sandman is back there. Douglas slams Rhino head first on a concrete wall. Shane Douglas tells Sandman something. Sandman grabs a table and sets it up. Sandman finds another table and put s it on top of the first table. Sandman strikes Rhino in the back of the head with the Kendo stick. Douglas and Sandman drag Rhino up the stairs to the technical booth. They are looking to put Rhino through those tables. Sandman swings the Kendo stick again at Rhino. Rhino blocks. He kick Sandman in the mid-section. Rhino takes the Kendo stick and blasts Douglas with it. He nails Sandman with it. Rhino tosses Sandman off the booth crashing through the two tables. Rhino tosses Douglas down the steps. Rhino takes Douglas back through the crowd. Rhino clotheslines Douglas over the guardrail back to ringside. Rhino slams Douglas head first on a ring post. Rhino grabs a chair and tosses it into the ring. Douglas drop toe holds Rhino face first on the ring steps. Shane Douglas grabs a beer from a fan. Douglas acts like he is going to throw it in Rhino's face but instead throws it back in the fan's face. Douglas charges Rhino but Rhino backdrops him on the stairs. Douglas may have injured his back. Rhino grabs a TV monitor. He strikes Douglas in the face with it. Rhino tosses Douglas in the ring. Douglas' head is pouring blooding. He is staining the canvas with his blood. Rhino planets a huge right hand right into the wound of Douglas. Rhino bites the cut. This is sick. Douglas is losing too much blood. Rhino kicks Douglas straight in the head. Rhino attempts a piledriver. Shane blocks with a back body drop. Douglas with a gut wrench suplex on Rhino. Douglas charges at Rhino but Rhino catches him with a huge clothesline. Douglas' blood is flowing. Rhino sets up a chair. Rhino takes Shane Douglas up to the second rope. He looks to give Douglas the Rhinodriver on that chair. Douglas gets in a low blow on Rhino. Douglas sets Rhino up. Shane Douglas hits a belly to belly from the top onto the chair. Douglas crawls onto Rhino. 1,2,3.

Shane Douglas is still NWA champion. He has successfully defended the NWA title. Out comes Mike Awesome. He attacks Rhino. Rhino starts fighting back. Awesome hits a running Awesome bomb that splats Rhino on the concrete floor. Rhino landed wrong. Rhino hit right on the back and his head. Rhino might have been crippled. Shane Douglas said earlier he wanted to destroy Rhino before Rhino could enter NWA-TNA. He looks to have done just that. A battered and bloody Shane Douglas has beaten Rhino and retained the title. We need help out here now. After we get medical help for Shane Douglas and Rhino ECW Heat Wave continues.
